Bio
I played college ball at San Jose City College whereby I received highest honors in 1993 and 1994 as NJCC Player of the Year and AllState and All American Status. I transferred to the University of Cincinnati / Division | NCAA school receiving a B.S. Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. I gained notoriety for my dunking abilities and 3-point shots. Junior year the team advanced to the Final Four and Senior year to the Elite 8. After graduating I played 1 year in the CBA Ft. Wayne Fury and was named MVP of the League. I was then drafted in the International League and played for the Frankfurt Swarms from 1997-2003. In 2002 I was named Player of the Year. In 2003 I was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics , however an injury in 2004 forced an early retirement.
BACKGROUND
After I retired from the NBA, I still had a passion and love for being involved in the community. At the time, there was no program in Indiana for elementary through high school kids to teach the basic fundamentals of basketball. I started teaching 4th and 5th graders in 2013, and slowly interest from both parents and students grew. Over the next few years I also started coaching teams in a league and had about up to 400 kids annually committed to the Pure Fundamentals program. Unfortunately, the program was shut down in Covid.
